For some estimated context, I think Owen had an issue with that pesky morning wood, but Mel, wasn't around the immediate area at the time, though Abby conveniently was. And like a good friend (with benefits), Abby is simply helping a brother out. Either that, or she's following up on the previous encounter with him that Mel suspects, but can't verify...until now.
